When you fall and get up, you
build and strengthen muscles that you couldn’t build and strengthen any other
way than from that position: from being down and rising up. If you
stayed up all the time, those muscles would never see any growth. THAT is
why we can be thankful for trials that knock us down.
Because there
will come a day when we need every single muscle in our body to be strong and
those painful trials--the getting up--will be the thing that creates those muscles.
Then we will hit the ground on purpose. On our knees, saying,
“Thank God!
Thank you God for strengthening me in pain!
I couldn’t thank you then,
but I can now!”
