If God blesses you with a child then He has equipped you to love and raise that child. Whether that child comes to you unplanned, planned, biological, adopted, fostered, carried by another woman via surrogacy, carried by another woman who hates you, unexpectedly in the form of a grandchild or in the form of the forgotten children in your neighborhood...you are equipped.
Whether that child is related by blood or not, differently-abled (body/mind/both), struggles with behavior disorders that leave you crying in the grocery aisle, has an invisible or visible illness, is extremely gifted, is non-verbal or lives within the history of abuse...you are equipped.
Your worthiness to parent is not based on your own abilities or the child's history, but what HE has placed within you and the fact that HE has placed that child with you.
You've got this because HE'S got this.
You are capable, because HE is capable.
